The house

Two trades. One island.

TMS Agri has a long outstanding experience in floriculture and the spices field. We have been supplying both locally and internationally.

That sentence — the one on our Facebook and LinkedIn pages — is still the brief. We are a Sri Lankan house working two catalogues that share a climate: the spice garden and the shade-house.

On the spice side we handle the classic Ceylon list: cinnamon, pepper, cloves, cardamom, nutmeg, mace and vanilla. True cinnamon, not cassia; pepper with perfume; cardamom that still holds its green. Grades and packing follow what export buyers and local wholesalers actually order — Alba through H2, MG1 pepper, whole blades of mace, vacuum-packed vanilla.

On the plant side we grow and trade orchids, anthurium and tropical foliage. When a new import of orchid plants lands, we open it for wholesale the same week — dendrobium and phalaenopsis first, with vanda and cattleya when the shipment allows. Those lots are posted on Facebook as they arrive.

How we sell

Wholesale first. Export when the lot is right.

  • Export packing for cinnamon, pepper and the rest of the spice list.
  • Imported orchid stock sold by the tray as landings arrive.
